Located just less than ¼" from the bottom of your Jeep's plastic fuel tank is the fuel sending unit, which is a very critical part as it is responsible for pulling fuel to the fuel lines. Such a vulnerable area should be fully protected from trail obstacles, and this Poison Spyder Fuel Tank Skid is designed to do just that.

The Skid is CNC laser cut from 3/16" plate steel and precision brake-formed for consistent quality. It comes powder-coated with satin black for stylish looks and long-lasting resistance against corrosion. This Skid is designed to slip over your factory tank without the need to remove either the tank or the factory skid, and is very easy and quick to install without welding. The front section of the Fuel Tank Skid features a recessed area to allow clearance for larger than stock axles or for axles that have been pushed back up to 1" from the stock location. The Skid is designed to work with at least 2" of lift.
