Features & Product Details
For great product upgrades, SUV drivers turn to sPOD. sPOD is a name that drivers have come to rely on as they make great upgradeable products for Jeep Wranglers that are better than the factory OEM models. The sPOD 8 Circuit SE System with its touch screen feature has a high power and highly responsive and reliable system that offers 100 AMPs. Durable and ready for all kinds of weather conditions, the control system is also fully programmable and the digital controller is 100% manufactured from parts made in the USA.
Features Include
With this particular control system, there are 8 circuits that are rated at 30 AMPs and have 12.5 VDC for each circuit. Drivers never have to worry about the fuse rating with this system as it will allow for 1.5 AMPs up to 30 AMPs and it does this automatically. The system is also an expandable version that can go up to 32 circuits if drivers want to use a daisy-chained method of running plug and play options. The LVCO or low voltage cut off is set to shut down at 2 minutes and has a spec voltage of 11.2 VDC for the cut off. That way drivers can still use the accessories even while the vehicle is off. Once they start the vehicle back up they can use them again. DIP switches are available to help turn off the LVCO battery protection's circuit.
Touch Screen Control Features
The easy to use control is a touch screen operated tool hat has a LED backlit 3.5 inch screen. Drivers can use this with its TFT screen that has a 320 x 240 resolution. It has a viewing angle that measures 180-degrees and includes 16.7 M colors. It has an Ethernet plug and the cable's length extends to 12'. It can also include a 1 inch RAM that can be mounted and installed, but will require a RAM base and should be selected when drivers make their purchase. Additionally, there are legends that can be customized with up to three lines of text. The switches can then be programmed for flash, switch linking, strobe option, dimmer, momentary or on-road / off-road operation mode.
The daisy chaining method can also be used with the touch screens to work them remotely, i.e., one panel that can be accessed from the cab while the other is in the back of the truck. Drivers can then add three additional touch screens. As previously mentioned, the driver will have up to 32 circuits and a selection that will include up to 4 sPOD sources with a DIP switch selector. There are two separate connection ports, one on the top and one on the bottom location. There is also an auto feature that will shut off the touch screen when it has been unplugged. It can also be shut off after 10-minutes of being inactive and this is via the auto shot off feature.
To turn it off, there is an easy one touch feature and holding down the on/off feature will shut all of the circuits off. The alternator's voltage has a voltage feedback and there is a feedback of the temperature that shows on the screen. Lastly, the module itself has a billet case (aluminum version) that has RAM mount of 1 inch on its back paneling. Used with an audio jack that's 4 pin and 3.5 MM, it serves as the connection for the source and the touch screen.
