Design innovations include:

Entry Cone—the perforation pattern and entry angles are designed to produce optimum airflow as the hot gasses enter the tapered inlet, and then increase their acceleration as they pass from the perforated cone into the outer core area. Noise is dampened as sound energy is redirected back on itself as a result of the carefully engineered taper angle.

Laminar Flow Area—as hot gasses are released and expand into the multiple layers of this section of the muffler. Owing to the tapered angle of the entry cone, which creates a controlled laminar flow that reduces turbulence inside the muffler that causes the sound waves to lose energy in this section as they are directed into a thermal barrier to help reduce noise?
