  • Q: Steer Smarts Sector Shaft Brace  Woj832 years ago

Is the steer smarts sector shaft brace for the 2021 mojave the same as the rubicon? Or should I order the non rubicon version? Thanks.
  • Q: Install w/ Steel Steering Box  Srqgunner2 years ago

I had my factory aluminum steering box upgraded to the steel steering box under the TSB. The install video mentions if you have the steel steering box upgrade there would be a wire w/pin that would have to be repositioned to install Yeti sector shaft brace. I do not have the wire w/pin and I verified I have the steel steering box (which is black) What is the wire for and should I take it back to the dealer before purchasing the Yeti sector shaft brace?

A:  I honestly didn't have the wire on my 2021 either. I installed the brace and it made a world of difference. If the wire isn't there, it isn't anything to worry about.

  • Q: Rubicon  TheGuyMatt3 years ago

Why won't this work with a JT Rubicon?
    • 2 of 2 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It will work, but may require slight trimming of the bracket. In some cases it interferes slightly with other components. They do make a Rubicon specific application as well.

  • Q: Steer Smarts Yeti XD Sector Shaft Reinforcement Bracket  egadomski3 years ago

What is the difference between the non-Rubicon and Rubicon version of the SECTOR SHAFT BRACE WITH FRAME SIDE TRACK BAR REINFORCEMENT BRACKET? I am asking because the SteerSmarts web site list two versions of this bracket: Rubicon and non-Rubicon.
    • 3 of 3 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The Rubicon sway bar is a little thicker and contacts the bracket on some Jeeps, but not all. This can be cleared with minor grinding. It isn't an issue on every Jeep.
