What are the Benefits of Beadlocks?

Beadlock wheels offer superior ability to retain the tire bead at extremely low air pressures, thanks to the beadlock ring. With traditional wheels, airing down too far on the trail can cause the tire to de-bead and lose its seal against the rim.

Running low tire pressure greatly enhances off-road traction, allowing the tread to widen and lengthen, helping the tire conform to uneven terrain. As an added bonus, lower pressures also improve ride comfort by softening the bumps along the trail.

Extremely light weight construction: Most competitors beadlocks add a significant amount of weight to your rig which bogs it down, making it feel sluggish, and puts much more strain on your suspension and steering components. Baja Built Beadlocks do things a little different, their beadlock wheels are built from the ground up to be as lightweight as possible. Most of their wheels weigh only 34lbs. even with the beadlock ring installed!

Durable Construction, Maximum Load Capacity: Baja Built wheels are forged from a single block of 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, delivering exceptional strength that outclasses conventional cast wheels. Each wheel is rated to handle an impressive 3,400lbs. of load capacity.

Xtreme Inner Bead Knurling: To further increase bead retention, Baja Built Beadlocks feature Xtreme Inner Bead Technology. The knurling on the inner bead grips onto the tire bead, forming a solid hold to the tire, combined with an extra large safety hump on both sides to prevent tires from debeading from side load forces.

Superior Bolt Protection: To protect the beadlock ring bolt heads and prevent them from rounding out, Baja Built wheels use recessed bolt mounts that shield the hardware from trail damage.

Dual Air Valves: Baja Built Wheels feature dual air valves—one for rapid inflation/deflation and the other for monitoring tire pressure. This setup significantly speeds up the airing-down process and makes it easier to keep an eye on your exact PSI. Best of all, the air valves are recessed into the wheel, protecting them from off-road damage.

Dual Use Wheel: Traditional bead locks are not DOT approved, however, Baja Built Beadlocks includes the ability to swap between standard DOT approved inner beat sets and true beadlock seats for extreme off-road use! You truly get a wheel that can do anything with Baja Built.
