The license plate bracket works great with my synthetic line winch. The lifting mechanism has enough resistance to stay up during the winch pull and stay down on the highway without any rattle. The install was tricky on my bumper because my winch prevented easy access by hand to the back of the fairlead. Works great for me where the front license plate is required.
