Great if you can get it
Brian 2 years ago
I used white and a clear coat. The nozzle on the can is good and provides a nice even application. I used this to paint some frame-side door hinges to replace the rusting hinges on my JK. The match is close enough that no one will notice the slight difference in color. The newly painted hinges are slightly whiter and I assume the difference mostly comes down to some oxidation of the 6 year old paint on the rest of the vehicle.

Nice shocks for the money
Brian 4 years ago
I was pretty excited for these based on all the reviews I've read. My excitement over them isn't quite as high as others, but I still like them and feel they are a good quality shock for the money. I have a JKUR with steel bumpers front and rear, winch, 37's, 3in lift (Metalcloak arms and Rock Krawler springs), steel fenders, and currently, a soft top is installed. I'm coming from Fox IFP 2.0 shocks. On-road I'm running the Falcons at the softest setting. I live in the Northern Midwest and our roads are generally terrible. My biggest issue with the on-road ride is that I wish I could try a softer setting. The ride is smoother than my Fox shocks, but not significantly. I would describe it as noticeable but not quite as significant as significant as some of the more positive reviews would suggest. I would say the on-road ride is on-par with a quality mid-tier car/SUV, not quite luxury car level. Off-road the ride is also quite good. Going over rough gravel road with pot holes and washboard sections is a definite step up from the Fox IFP shocks I had. The Fox shocks made me want to slow down while the Falcons encourage me to go faster. I have not had them on the rocks yet, but I am confident they'll do just fine. Regarding the installation, I had to trim my front Hyline fender liners to complete the install. The reservoir isn't quite far enough outside the fender liner to fit without trimming. They look great though and I am quite pleased with how everything turned out overall.
