    Scratch and Dent Snag
    Jiffy 2 years ago
I had been wanting one of these forever, but didn't want to pay the price. I saw it on the scratch and dent sale and picked it up. Man it is awesome. Easy to operate, looks great, quiet, and uses little power from my Goal Zero. I like the Bluetooth control and app as well. I'm glad I saved some money, but I'd say its definitely worth the original price.

    Great Lights!
    Jiffy 2 years ago
I had really been wanting to upgrade my stock halogen tail lights for the LED ones. However, there was no way I was paying what they were going for. When I saw these which look better for cheaper I went ahead and ordered them. These lights look awesome. The reverse lights are very bright. I'd say they'd even be an upgrade from the stock LED lights. You won't be disappointed if you get these.

    Awesome Programmer
    Jiffy 2 years ago
I bought this in preparation for buying larger tires. With all the extra features it had I figured I'd get it before saving up for the tires. I wasn't disappointed. I probably would've purchased it a lot sooner had it been a little cheaper, but still glad I spent the money on it. Was pretty annoyed when I went to update it that the MAC OS support was disabled. I had just bought a MacBook a week or two prior.... I had to get a really old laptop I had working again just to update it.

    Zero instructions
    Jiffy 3 years ago
These are great adapters. However, they come with zero instructions. Would be a big deal, but the aiming bolts weren’t labeled either. I have no clue what the other three bolts on the sides and bottom do. Pretty disappointing coming from a good company. I mean is it that hard to print off two sheets of instructions? If it had instructions it’d be 4-5 stars. Without I say 3.

    Worth the money
    Jiffy 3 years ago
I bought these for my Pro 6 lights. They look perfect. I have a black JK so they pretty much just blend right into the pillar. Just go ahead and spend the extra money on these quality mounts. You don't want to be dealing with some cheap rusting ones later on if you go on Amazon.

    Worked for my Joytutus Fridge
    Jiffy 3 years ago
I was too cheap to buy an ARB fridge so I bought a Joytutus fridge on Amazon. It worked pretty good, but wasn't getting enough voltage with the connection in the back of my Jeep. I bought the ARB kit to hard wire an outlet to the battery. I then bought this cord to plug in the ARB outlet since it has their screw on connection. Luckily for me the plug works on my fridge. One day if I have enough money I'll get the nice ARB fridge, but I'd rather spend that money on other parts for now.

    Get this tent!
    Jiffy 3 years ago
I spent a while looking up reviews on websites and Youtube for different Rooftop Tents. I went with the Roam Vagabond due to it being what appeared a good middle option. I have to say I definitely made the right choice. The install wasn't bad watching the video on their Youtube, although I don't understand why a $2k tent wouldn't come with printed instructions as well. I have the tent mounted on a Rhino Rack Vortex 3 bar system. When I first mounted the tent I discovered the rails on the bottom of the tent were not long enough to reach all three bars. The two bars it was sitting on were not the recommended distance apart. I contacted Roam and asked them if I could just purchase the longer rails for the large tent. They sold me two for around $100 and quickly had them shipped. I had to drill new holes to mount them on the tent, but that was no biggie. I then remounted the tent and sawed off the excess rails in the rear. I left some extra railing in the front for now in case I wanted to use it later. Just keep in mind you'll need to make sure the rails fit your rack. My wife and I have gotten faster and faster setting up/taking down camp. I definitely need to invest in some hinge steps to get to the front clips. I have a Rhino Rack Batwing on the driver side and it is difficult to reach the clips/zipper over it. Other than that it is very simple to get out/put up. The annex is awesome for privacy/changing/staying dry. It is well worth the extra money and honestly you're crazy if you don't get it. The mattress is very comfortable. We slept in a cabin before sleeping in the tent for three nights on a trip. I slept way better in the tent than in the cabin bed. We haven't really used the gear hammock much. One of the plastic clips on it was broken. I contacted Roam who is sending another one (waiting for about three months now). While waiting for that one I have the broken clip replaced with a carabiner. Shoe bags are useful, but be careful. On a windy day they can easily blow out of the channel they hang in if they are left empty. Insulation appears to be good. We were in the Michigan U.P. and had temps in the low 40's to upper 30's. We stayed warm with 1 sleeping bag each. Another bonus is that we could leave the sleeping bags in the tent when closing it. The rainfly worked well and held out all the water when we got rained on. It wasn't a heavy rain, but I'm sure it would've held up. We had moisture in the morning on the inside of the tent and annex. Of course this would've happened with any tent. We just simply wiped the inside down real quick before closing the tent. One thing I recommend is adding some LED light strips. I purchased some cheap ones on Amazon. They are powered by USB that I plug into an auxiliary outlet I added in the cargo area. I placed one using zip ties on the center bar inside the tent. The second is on the bottom just below the ladder to light up the annex/ground. Thanks to the velcro in the center of the tent I can run my USB through it down to the Jeep. I'll include a couple pics of the lights. If you're on the fence about this tent just do it. You will not regret it at all. Just keep in mind any time you travel where you'd be staying in this tent instead of a hotel it is paying for itself. If you don't have the cash or time to save the cash just use Affirm at checkout. I used it so I could hurry up and get the tent for a trip and pay it off after. Very easy process and user friendly app.

Roam Vagabond Rooftop Tent w/Annex - Forest Green/Hyper Orange

Good, but keep spare parts on hand!
    Jiffy 3 years ago
I've had this awning on my Jeep JK for several months now. It is mounted on a Vortex 3 bar system using the front a rear cross bars. It is pretty easy to put on/take off. I imagine you could probably do it by yourself if you had some bungies to hold the opposite side on the cross bar. Of course its a lot easier and safer just to have an extra set of hands. The second time I went to use the awning it broke. I was setting it up by myself and extended it out prior to putting the leg poles down. As I was trying to tie the last pole to the roof rack, two of the hinges broke. Now this was probably my fault. I was trying to tie it somewhat tight to the roof rack (although I didn't think tight enough to break something). Since then I has my wife extend each leg as I pull the awning out to keep the weight off the arms. I was pretty surprised and disappointed to see the hinges that go into the arms were plastic. Just seemed like for the money you pay it'd be a little stronger. I was also pretty disappointed when I dealt with Rhino Rack. I went on their website and ordered the hinges. Ironically they came in a two pack (probably because this happens a lot). I ordered them and it took months for them to come in. I emailed them asking about it since they were not listed on backorder and received no response. Luckily the guy I bought my roof rack from had two spares that I was able to use before my trip. If you want to see what it looks like when the hinges break on the intro to the TrailRecon videos on Youtube you can see one with broken hinges in the rain. Seeing one broken on there made me feel better that I wasn't the only one. As for actual use. I've had it on for several months and the cover still looks pretty good. There is some fading on the trim, but in the Texas sun that's to be expected. When we were in Michigan on a trip it rained a couple nights on us. The awning came in clutch to help us cook and sit around without getting soaked. Very easy to collapse and I love the bag to hold the stakes being in the cover. Just make sure you open it to dry out after having it open on a rainy day. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you buy this. Just remember it wouldn't hurt to have spare parts on hand. If you're out on the trail and a hinge breaks its an easy fix if you have them with you. If you want to use this without the legs, I would just save up for one of the legless systems that run $200-$300 more.

    Great A-Pillar lights
    Jiffy 3 years ago
I bought these to mount on my A-Pillar with the KC mount. I got the spot beam to try to minimize the glare from the hood. They work great. Super bright and east to install on my SPod system. I took a trip from Texas, to Minnesota, to Michigan, and back. The covers kept the lights protected and are still tight after thousands of miles. Would definitely recommend.
