The Expedition Essentials Track Adapter plate (TRAD) enables the user to install AMPS pattern diamond mounts on track based mounts from Expedition Essentials that use Ram Mounts Tough Track, and more.
The Expedition Essentials Track Adapter allows the user to configure their AMPS pattern base mounts from the set points of our pre threaded locations to the track and vice versa using the same base mounts.
The benefits of using AMPS pattern accessory mounts on track based mounts is the increased stability that the wider based diamond mounts offer; Increasing stability for larger electronic devices.

For the Ram Mounts track on JL/JTs Ram makes a ball mount which comes loose over time since you're twisting the gripping features down. This product does not have to be tightened as much and still hasn't come loose for me. It holds my mount so well that any movement is actually from the Ram Mount track flexing.
