Why your Next Jeep Upgrade Needs to Be Rock Hard 4x4 Rock Sliders
Protect your Jeep!
One of the most vulnerable areas on your Jeep from the factory is the lower rocker panel and lower section of the doors. These areas are vulnerable to dents, scratches, rock chips, and unfortunately, much more. This is why rock sliders are one of the best upgrades you can do to protect your Jeep from trail and on road damage. Enter the Rock Hard 4x4 lineup of Rock Sliders. Built with heavy-duty steel, a durable black powder coat and a sturdy bolt on design, Rock Hard 4x4 produces some of the most durable and easy to install rock sliders on the market.
A Cut Above The Rest

What makes the Rock Hard 4x4 Rock Sliders so strong? They start with a 2" x 3" .120-wall steel mounting bar, reinforced with 1 3/4" .120-wall tubing that is jig-welded in place. This tubing serves as both a step and a "rock cushion" to keep your Jeep protected on the trail. Unlike OEM Rubicon sliders, which sit nearly flush to the body, this leaves the panels vulnerable to taller rocks, Rock Hard's sliders extend outward to deflect obstacles before they can make contact. As a bonus, they can also help prevent door dings from careless drivers in parking lots.
What sets Rock Hard 4x4 Rock Sliders apart is their superior mounting design. Unlike many sliders that only attach to the pinch seam, these bolt to the pinch seam, the bottom of the tub, and the body frame mounts—offering more attachment points than most competitors. Adding to their strength, the tub brackets are made from 1/4-inch steel, while the body mount brackets are an ultra-rugged 3/8-inch thick, ensuring maximum durability on the trail.
Plenty Of Options
Rock Hard 4x4's main three Rock Slider options are: Flat Step, Angled Up Step and Angled Down Step. Each has its advantages, so you can’t go wrong with any choice. The RHX Series Tube Slider – Flat Step is the best option for easy entry and exit, especially on lifted Jeeps. The Angled Up Tube Slider provides the most ground clearance, making it ideal for maximum off-road capability, while still providing a step into the Jeep. The Angled Down Tube Slider strikes a balance, offering a convenient, lowered step while maintaining a lower profile than the Flat Step.
Rock Hard 4x4 also offers "Boat Side" Sliders, These feature a flat step and a "boat side" angled plate for effortless sliding over obstacles, plus added durability with extra attachment points to the lower rocker panel.
No matter what option you choose, you're getting impressive side protection and a step point to easily get into your Jeep!
Made in the USA
Let’s be real—your Jeep is made in the USA, so why settle for imported rock sliders? You might save a few bucks, but imported options often rust, bend easily, and just don’t look right on your patriotic Jeep. Thats why Rock Hard 4x4 manufacturers ALL of their products 100% in the USA!
Rock Hard 4x4 Says it best:
"Prevent your Jeep from looking like a Temu imported product that just got uncrated at the docks!"
My Experience With Rock Hard 4x4 Sliders
I run a set of Patriot Angled Up Sliders on my Jeep Gladiator. After nine months of rocky trails, deep snow, and muddy terrain, my sliders have taken plenty of hits—scraping and banging against off-road obstacles. Despite the abuse, they still look as good as new and, most importantly, have kept my truck protected from trail damage, which is what matters most to me.
I wouldn't have any problems recommending these for hard core rock crawlers and daily drivers alike, as I can personally attest to how strong these sliders are. I plan on taking my Gladiator through the Rubicon trail soon and have no reservations as to if these will hold up or not, I know they will.
How Good Are They As a Step?
After installing 37" tires on my Gladiator my wife and I have been using the Angled Up Sliders as a step into my truck, both of us give these two thumbs up for convenience!
Below you'll find a visual comparison of the size of the step on the Angle Up Sliders(left) Vs. the Flat Step Sliders(right). Obviously, if you're looking for an easy step into your lifted rig, the Flat Step is a great choice. However, don't discredit the Angled Up or Angled Down sliders ability to provide a useable step into your rig!

The Verdict?
Whether you're a hardcore rock crawler or weekend warrior, the Rock Hard 4x4 Rock Sliders are the perfect upgrade for you! Whichever option you go with you'll be adding a hefty amount of armor to the sides of your Jeep and gaining a step to get in and out! While I personally love the lower profile Angled up or Angled Down Rock Sliders, the Flat Step Sliders are also an excellent choice for an easy step into your lifted rig!
So if you're looking to put a set of rock sliders on for the first time, or are looking for a heavy-duty upgrade from the OEM Rubicon sliders, Rock Hard 4x4's Rock Sliders are the ultimate upgrade!
