20th Silver Valley Jeep Jamboree USA - 2021

Stella and I spent last weekend at the 20th Silver Valley Jeep Jamboree in Wallace, ID. This was our first Jeep Jamboree USA event, and we had a blast! Northridge4x4 is a sponsor this year for JJUSA so this was the first of three events Stella, and I will be attending this year.

Day one started out with a great breakfast served by volunteers at the Morning Club in Mullan, ID. After breakfast we got our lunches and started lining up for our trail rides. We ran the Old Mullan Pass trail which was a very easy trail with some breathtaking views. There were really no challenges on this trail but the scenery more than made up for that. At lunch we stopped in a massive huckleberry patch so we could all pick wild huckleberries. Stella and I filled up a water bottle in a short amount of time. The trail ended at an abandoned mine where we were able to get the group of 37 Jeep’s together for a group shot. We ended the day with a great dinner at Shoshone Park while we enjoyed listening to a local live band.

Day two started with another awesome breakfast serve at Shoshone Park and a drivers meeting. We opted to run the hardest trail offered for day two. We ran Crouse Culch (aka The Compressor Trail) which is a rock-strewn creek bed with a couple of good waterfall climbs. This is another very scenic trail that ended at an abandoned mine. There were signs of the mining history of this area everywhere you looked. The day ended with dinner and drinks at Shoshone Park.

It was great seeing some old friends and making a lot of new friends. The wheeling is fun, but the best part of these events is the opportunity to meet new people. Stella and I made some new lifelong friends on this trip!

The athletic teams of Mullan put on a car wash on Friday and Saturday in which they raised $3,000 dollars for their athletic program and another $5,000 for their scholarship program. The mayor of Mullan, who is an avid Jeeper, was in tears at dinner Saturday night when he announced how much money had been raised. Mullan is a very small town and as the mayor said, “This is life changing money for these kids!”. I couldn’t be prouder of our Jeep community!

See ya on the trail! - Eric
