Been wheeling for three years with this 55L in the back of my JK, never fails me. The 55L is a perfect fit for the JK as the tailgate will still close with this on the drivers side. I admit that I have not used the icemaker yet, cuz the beer is frosty cold enough. Catch these on sale here at Northridge and it is money well spent. Note, for the 2023 JL or just the 392, it's a very tight fit as the handle hits the tailgate. Might want a 45L for those.

What is the water tolerance for this fridge? Ie can it be out in the rain if it is stowed in the back of a truck bed under a bed rack? If so for how long? Does that time extend with the cover?

A: There really isn't an answer on this, from Dometic or anywhere else that I can find. I would say that with the electronics, you are not going to want it out in the rain for an extended period of time without being covered. The cover they sell helps keep it cooler for longer, but doesn't make it weatherproof.
