Jeep JL & JT to Atlas 2 speed: The Jeep JL with the 850RE 8-speed automatic with the 3.6L V6 or the turbo 4 cylinder and the D478 manual 6 speed with the turbo 4 cylinder, coupled to a Magna transfer case. This is the first year Jeep went away from its standard circular bolt pattern when coupling these two gear boxes. To couple these transmission to the Atlas, they will require a new adapter. P/N 50-9900 is for the Automatic and P/N 50-9901 if for the manual or P/N 50-9903 for the Jeep 392's & 4xE. 50-9904 Jeep JL DIESEL 8-Speed Automatic. The adapter is 7.75" which provides the needed length to clear the transmission cooling system. Also see Atlas adapters
JL and JT 2018 & newer Jeeps equipped with an automatic transmission will also require a Transmission Control Module flash to operate correctly with the new Atlas transfer case. Jeep coded the stock transfer case ratio of either the 2.72:1 or the 4.0:1 into this module and any different ratio in the transfer case will put the vehicle into a limp mode. A Jeep programmer like a Z Automotive or the Vgate OBD2 code reader with the Canbus phone app from jscan, work great. The exact ratios for the Atlas are required for re-programming the module.
The electronics of the JL stock transfer case need to be connected to the Atlas. The nice thing is we have you covered with kit 300377A. The kit 300377A with a programmer for the transmission control module will allows the JL to retain all the stock functions that it came with stock when installing an Atlas.

Jeep JL 850RE 8-Speed Automatic Trans. To ATLAS
Adapter and spud shaft that bolts to the rear of the stock transmission changing the bolt pattern to a circular 6 with a 23-spline output.
This adapter fits the 2018 and newer Jeep JL with the 3.6L V6 and the 2.0L turbo 4 cylinder with the 850RE transmission.
Jeep JL 392 8HP75 & 4xE Hybrid TO ATLAS
Jeep and Ram have several versions of there 8HP transmission, we have seen 5 variations to this series of transmissions so far. The differences are spline counts and lengths as well as bolt patterns.
Jeep JL 392: These Jeeps have a full-time transfer case with an 8HP75 or 8HP75PH transmission. This transmission has a 43-spline output shaft and an adapter that is part of the stock transfer case. This adapter kit couples to this transmission and allows you to install an Atlas 23 spline input to the 8HP75/8HP75PH transmission.
This kit is also used on the Jeep Hybrid which has the part time transfer case.

Adapter and spud shaft that bolts to the rear of the stock transmission adapter changing the bolt pattern to a circular 6 with a 23-spline output.

I am looking at getting the atlas ATLAS-PS-JL-M but it doesn’t look like a complete kit. I don’t see the shift handles,cable, or wiring connections needed. What else is needed For installing this setup? - I have a jl 6speed manual sport S setup currently

A: This is not the correct Atlas for a TJ/LJ. This is for the JL platform. Please call us at 866.601.5340 for more help on this one. Thanks
