Firestik FireFly CB Antenna w/Tunable Tip Black 3ft

The Firestik FireFly CB Antenna is about 40% lighter than the Firestik II, which is of the same length. Because of its lighter physical properties and reduced Wind Drag, less stress is placed on the antenna mount. FL Antennas are tunable at the tip, by hand, and provide flexibility in mounting options-A 4' FL Antenna is compatible with a mount designed for a 3' antenna. A single configuration of an FL Antenna can be used with cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles and ATV's, provided there is a Metallic Ground Plane available. Conversely, a Dual configuration is also possible on these vehicles, using any suitable material for the Ground Plane. FL Antennas must be fine-tuned in the desired location. The manual tune option on FL Antennas is easier than ones that are not tunable. Simply remove the tip and move the Adjustment Screw either up or down, as necessary. FL Antennas exceed the minimum broadcast requirements for CB Radios. Their high performance Send/Receive functionality is made possible by the loading coil. The antenna is built to receive broadcast alerts from the NOAA, if the radio to which the antenna is connected, includes that service. For strength as well as functionality, FL Antennas are manufactured from a reinforced tube of glass fiber, wound with a double insulated copper to guard against oxidation and shorted windings, which is a known issue on other manufacturer's antennas. Rust-Proof Brass is the material of which the Adjustable Screw, for tuning, is made. It is secured by an O-Ring after tuning. Its threaded base is 3/8" X 24, and it will fit all mounts and other accessories manufactured by Firestik. All Firestik Antennas are covered with a water-tight, static reducing sleeve, that contains UV and Pigment Stabilizers. In order to receive the highest performance possible from Firestik Antennas, use only Fire-Flex or RoadPal coaxial cables with them.
