These are not large but are plenty bright enough for mountain trails and unexpected (or expected) night runs. They are ruggedly built and rebuildable should they ever fail or a lens gets caught but a fast-moving rock in the dark (or the day). Good value for the pair, and Baja Designs' customer service and support is legendary.
