This AEV skid plate was easy to install and only took around 30 minutes to finish up. Heavy duty and I love how it protects the pinion as well. Lastly, you don’t lose much clearance if any because it’s tucked tightly against the differential.

Yes this is one of the more expensive skids on the market but there is one thing that makes it different. The ability to protect the yoke near the rear end. After a day of wheeling I checked it out and saw that I actually did its job. I had a big mark on the tip of it where it would've definitely hit the driveline. So for me paying the extra money for that protection was worth it.

Northridge4x4 had this dropped shipped and it came in like 3 business days. impressive. it is an easy 20 minute install and fits really and has very little impact on ground clearance. It is a bit overpriced for mild steel. For some reason in I was thinking it was boron steel but it is not. Hopefully it will be able to take some punishment. It does appear like being it rests right against the differential it should do its job and it should help keep those two ribs on the diff from getting hung up. can't really rate the performance until it has survived in the rocks.
