A buddy of mine has this carrier, and I've liked the way it installs as part of the tailgate. So, when I bought my '23 JL, I added this to my build list. I also bought the AEV bumper, and installed both at the same time. While the bumper was a bit fiddly to get on, the carrier was a breeze. I did replace some of AEVs hardware with stainless, but other than that, it was a great kit. It supports a 37" tire with no problem, and my tailgate opens and closes just as easily as it did with the stock 33" tire on it. Do yourself a favor and buy a grease gun to keep those bearings lubed up. It will make your life so much easier. I didn't realize that the carrier also doubles as a shovel holder. That's a pretty cool bonus!
