It works. Limits the grime and sun exposure to the drum. If you have a recessed winch mount in your bumper you might have to get some counseling after installing. In my opinion, this should come with the winch as standard equipment.

I gave this a try to keep the sun and road junk off t the rope, It does the trick just fine, Snaps in snug & hasn't come out in the few weeks I've had it installed.
