AnswerQ: Brake Line Recommendations? Prot 4 years ago
I gave a 2014 Unlimited JK Sahara. It has a 3” BDS lift and 315/70-17 tires. It’s an automatic transmission. I also have the small ARB compressor mounted near the brake master cylinder for my Yukon lockers. My OEM master cylinder is going out so I am thinking about upgrades, specifically the TERDELTABRAKEPKG which has the Teraflex Delta brake system and the Mopar upgrade master cylinder and booster. The package is about $2,500 but it does come with everything. I think with my lift and tires, I am going to need to replace the stock brake lines. Besides, stainless steel braided lines will improve performance and pedal feel. I am looking for recommendations for lines to go with this kit as I am not even sure how long I should get. Teraflex mentions nothing about needing new lines, but most kits that are big rotors with brackets that move the stock calipers need longer lines. Plus, the stainless steel braided lines will be better. I just don’t know how long or if one brand is better than another. I forgot to mention my wheels. They are 17x9 with 4.5” backspacing Helo Black Maxx. I think this kit will fit with them but I am not positive.
