Just What My Rear End Needed
    gcoop5508 1 year ago
I originally had the extended RK sway bar links for my JLUR with 3.5" RK X Factor lift. They seemed a bit too short and I was worried about the rear sway bar flipping. Was told about these, which are marketed for a JK, and installed them. For Jeeps with great articulation, you NEED these!

    Quality Cover

The cover is made with high quality material and fasteners. It fits great and doesn't take very long to put on/take off. I'm glad I decided to spend more on this versus cheaper versions.

This is the finest crafted exhaust you could ever put on your Jeep. Beautiful welds, top quality stainless steel construction, and a serialized plate. Plus, the instructions are in color and easy to follow as each part of the exhaust has a colored sticker on it to make the assembly super easy. My 17 year old son installed this by himself....it's that easy! This system (Trail Edition) replaced a muffler delete pipe. The AWE Trail Edition has a better tone (a little deeper), no drone, and not annoying (unlike the muffler delete pipe at certain RPM). If you want the BEST trail exhaust, get this one! I think it is absolutely worth the price.

    Great Fit, Finish, and Coverage

These installed very easily and provide excellent coverage. They were packed well and arrived in excellent shape. The included instructions are good. I didn’t use clamps and instead had a helper hold them up to mark the initial holes. Two items which made the install go quick: an automatic spring loaded center punch and an actual riv-nut installation tool. The tool cost me $50 on Amazon and made the riv-nut install very quick and easy. The only issues I encountered (occurred on both sides) was on two holes forward on the front doors. There’s an inner body panel which is close to outer panel and wouldn’t allow for the riv-nuts to go in completely. I used a ¼in punch and hammer to dent the inner panel a bit, which then allowed for the proper clearance.

    Excellent

These sliders are extremely strong, well made, and provides for complete coverage from pinch seam to pinch seam. You will not find a better slider for this low of a price. Other competitors are either inferior in materials, protection, or strength. They came boxed very well and the powder coating was perfect. Yes, you have to remove all body mount bolts, which takes some time and lots of patience, but the result is totally worth it. Once the body bolts are out, the install is quick and easy. I really like how Rock Hard includes new body bolts.

Works perfectly, no pull. Definitely an upgrade over stock.

    Great Part/Easy Install

This bracket does a great job at relocating and securing the two parking brake cables. The hardest part is placing the rubber grommets onto the cables and pushing them into the cutouts. A little bit of white lithium grease or even some dish soap makes it fairly easy. I did not like the idea of the parking brake cables not being secured and possibly rubbing on something. This part secures them and at a good price.

    Definitely Strengthens And Helps Steering

Installed this 3 months and 4k miles ago, at same time I installed a lift, Synergy tie rod and drag link, and 37in tires on a 2018 JLUR. The installation was easy, straightforward, and the instructions were good. Post install, my steering was excellent and I believe this brace played a big part in it. However, recently I began hearing a creaking sound coming from the pitman arm/steering box. I removed the machined sector shaft brace and found the bronze bushing had turned so the zerk fitting was no longer aligned with the lubrication hole in the bushing. I drilled and tapped a hole on the brace and installed a set screw after realigning the bronze bushing with the zerk fitting. Another option would have been to apply red loctite to the exterior of the bronze bushing and hope this kept the bushing from turning. Overall, I am confident in this brace and the peace of mind it provides in strengthening the steering box mount, track bar, and sector shaft. The photo shows the hole in the bushing not being aligned with the zerk fitting. 4 stars for performance due to the bronze bushing turning, but a solid 5 stars overall.

    Decent for the Price

For the price, it's a good enclosure for when the hardtop is off. It installed fairly easy, although I had to loosen the bolts holding the nylon rollers on so they could spin freely. It's not as robust/strong as some of the other options, but it's also half the price. The weather and trim seals are nice to keep the weather out and to protect the Jeep's surfaces. I was missing one nylock nut, which I luckily had in my spare nut/bolt bin. The prop rod can rattle against the side of the enclosure, so I installed a length of heat shrink tubing on the rod to keep it from rattling. This would be an easy and cheap fix for Tuffy to add. Some of the powder coating did have rub marks due to shipping, but none of the area were rubbed through to bare metal. Overall, it's a decent enclosure and I am satisfied with it based upon cost and features.

    Great Winch For The Price
    gcoop5508 4 years ago
This is a great winch, with very good features, for the price. Easy install, especially since the synthetic rope is already wound onto the drum. The included hawse fairlead and hook are of good quality, although I opted to install Factor 55 parts. As of now, have only had it installed for 6 weeks, but no problems yet. Due to the lower price vs. other Warn winches, there are electrical cables on the back which might be visible, depending on your vehicle/bumper combination. On my JL, I was able to tuck them under the front of the grille (mostly). Five stars for ease of installation, performance, features, and value.
