LOD DESTROYER rocksliders

These are heavy-duty and strong. I chose these as a frame mount slider with a provision for a step. The design was not what I saw on YouTube or pictures at Northridge4x4. I was expecting a complete, single piece unit for each side. My sliders came with the main beam, three mounting brackets, and hardware. Bolting the brackets to the beam was frustrating as there is little clearance to access the beam interior to insert the bolts. The instructions (downloaded from their website) did not inform the installer torque values or thread locker or anti-seize usage. When bolted in place the slider/body gap is not uniform. The gap is narrow or closer to the body at the front then widens toward the middle bracket, then is uniform to the aft. I installed the drver side slider first. When l went to do the passenger side. The bracket did not match the holes on the slider. Called LOD, they asked for pictures. 2 days later, had the correct bracket in hand and finished the installation. I have MetalCloak UnderCloak skid plates. I had to drop all 4 plates to drop the tank skid plate to bolt the passenger side slider on. Even if I chose to not bolt the slider tabs, I still would have to unbolt a lower the tank skid plate to get the slider tab between the frame and skid. Performance. The week after instalation I ventured to Rausch Creek ORV Park in eastern Pennsylvania. Twice on "Crawl Daddy" my jku was suspended on my passenger side slider and I just used it as a pivot point. Later observation to the slider proved scratched paint! If i still had my factory plastic steps the body damage would have been significant. I got home and checked the fastneners of skids and sliders. 2 of the nuts holding the bracketss to sliders were loose. Blue locktited them all.
