The tire carrier itself is built well, and the welds and steel structure is very sound and sturdy, the tire carrier is heavy and does take some time to install as well. I was happy when I first installed the tire carrier. After about 2 weeks the thing squeaks like crazy every time I open and close it. The paint is flaking off and starting to rust like crazy. I would be semi ok with it but my roof rack from them is doing the same thing. I really would like to support EVO but it is hard when I throw down some cash for there stuff and have to deal with this. And yes I have contacted EVO about there customer service is just about as good as there stuff.
