Best steering upgrade for on road confidence
fosgate 7 months ago
Seriously can't recommend this enough. I have 2020 Gladiator, did cast iron steering box TSB, then to full PSC hydro steering with ram, track bar frame mount brace, track bar and drag link upgrade. I still got wobble every now and again. Would track down and eventually tighten both track bar bolts to fix. Found this and decided to try, cheaper than getting bolts at local hardware. Installed and steering hasn't ever been so stout. Hard offroading and still solid. No need to tighten after many months and tough use. Amazing what a slightly thicker bolt can do.

Great addition and must have if you get the cage.
fosgate 2 years ago
If you are getting the cage get the Molle cargo wraps for the front and back. I don't really keep anything in them but they hide the welding and make the cage look a lot more factory. They are easy to install, just velcro on and then I added black zip ties through the grommets so they don't move. I was able to mount my fishbone fire extinguisher holder to it.

Good accessory to have on the trail, low resolution
fosgate 2 years ago
Make sure you have the Tazer to add this. About the only option I didn't get on my Gladiator and I regret it. Added this after watching a friend go over the top of a blind hill and drop into a 4' rut nose first. Love being able to take a glance at what is in front of me. My wife's JL has the factory camera and it is much clearer and wider field of view. This is the best I can do and am happy with it. Resolution is much lower than factory but that is a limitation of the radio inputs. It does have some problem in bright conditions. Running the wires behind the dash can be a bit of a pain because there is a lot crammed back there with not much space.

Awesome system, take your time and mock it up several times
fosgate 2 years ago
TAKE YOUR TIME. I got this system for front and rear for added protection after seeing a few rollovers. I love the finished product. I installed it all myself, first time doing rivnuts. Make sure to mock it up several times before drilling anything. The rear is very tricky to get the rear bar to sit just right on the frame. Make sure to follow the instruction to use the tap on all of the threaded parts EVERY TIME you install and reinstall a bolt. You will strip them if you don't. Just go slow, tap and wd40 each time. Once I drilled all the holes and installed rivnuts I was worried but it all fit perfectly, didn't have to adjust anything. Sent it out for powder coating and it all installed right up. I got it powder coated a dark gray/black to match interior and it looks amazing. It looks like it is stock and blends right in. I got the molle bag and that helps hide the welds and make it look even more stock.

Great system, take your time
fosgate 2 years ago
Was worried I would not get the rivnuts installed in the correct spot being my first time doing those. The system works great. I got the front and back system and installed it all myself. Take your time, mock it up a couple of times and mark, remark and check again. Also make sure you follow the instruction to use the tap on the threads EVERY time you put a bolt in and remove it. Get an air die grinder, it will make it a lot faster. I did the windshield bar first as it was the easiest and able to hold with clamps while I marked it. After I had it powder coated a dark gray/black it matches the interior and looks stock. I love that it is stealth that way. I wanted it to blend in.

Helped level off my Gladiator
fosgate 2 years ago
I have a Gladiator rubicon with the Rock Krawler 3in Pro-X lift kit. I added this after having that installed to level off the Jeep. I spoke with Rock Krawler and they said a 3/4in leveling kit would work no problem. Not much to them, just full droop, and pull spring, put in and replace spring. Took awhile but was easy if you have done suspension work before.

Great light, issues with LED
fosgate 2 years ago
Pre-ordered this and waited a long time but I love them. I don't like aftermarket lights because they typically look cheap but these look like the rear of the Gladiator should have from the factory. Sleak and fit with the vehicle. Not hanging off the side like a school bus stop sign. 15 minute inatall, longest time was getting the blind spot sensors out of old lights. I had LED tail lights and have issues with turn signals out warnings and fast flash. Spoke with Oracle and have been trying to fix the issue with my tazerjl mini. Just be aware you may need a programmer even going from LED to an LED tail light. Was not informed I might need that and that is why I removed a star. Seems a common theme with almost any light replacement now.

Great carrier
fosgate 3 years ago
I got the carrier to move my spare into the bed when I go off-roading. I previously just strapped the wheel down in the bed. Getting it up allows me to get more gear in the bed and store stuff behind the wheel. I was looking for something that I did not have to drill any additional holes. I plan to take it off during the off season and didn't want holes to rust. This bolts up pretty easy and if I modify my bed cover and take the last part of the wheel carrier off I can still use my bed cover when the wheel is not mounted. I did have one bolt that would not thread properly so I took one star off for install and quality.
