Spend more, I wish I had

Wish I had paid closer attention to reviews before buying this for my 2011 JKU rubicon. I wish I also had just spent the extra money on the $300 aluminum one that doesn’t require drilling. It is really heavy. It comes with exactly 4 Jack nuts so if you goof one like I did you’ll need to message the company for a replacement and wait until it arrives. If anyone else sells them I couldn’t find them. And I goofed it because you have to drill holes in your tailgate, BIG holes, and the spots you drill have structural members behind them so the drill walks all over tears the metal and makes a mess. Following that you need to install the Jack nuts into the holes- not the easiest device to use to begin with- that aren’t perfect because of the drilling, and they may not go in straight first try. Except there isn’t an undo feature on these things- one time use. It was a PITA. You’ll want a friend to help install too because it’s super heavy. Lastly I have a side mounted factory subwoofer (alpine) and it DOES fit with that. However like others have mentioned it does NOT fit over the molded floor panel that accesses the tools underneath. If I had read this I would NOT have bought this, but I was too far gone at this point. So I trimmed the bump off the panel, then notched the trunk mat (mine came with this) so it could slide aft an inch and cover the hole. The table fits over the mat barely, and hides the horrendous hole I cut in the panel. Lastly I have a slipstream trunk enclosure and the table does fit with that as well. Once past all this it’s a nice looking table, and it does the job well. At least that part is great! Overall I would buy a different table that doesn’t require drilling if I were you.
