Heavy Aluminum
Doug’ Bull Dozer 2 years ago
I bent the steel tubing on my original yeti tie rod. So I was looking for a replacement and the aluminum replacement pops up on northridge 4x4 website, so I bought it! When it arrived I thought they sent me wrong piece. Then I started to look at it . It’s solid aluminum and is the same weight as bent steel tubing one that I removed. Now I had to modify the bracket for PSC cylinder mount so it would not hit this awesome piece of aluminum. Also had to bore out the clamp for the other end of cylinder to fit around bigger aluminum tie rod. The clamps that come with tie rod are definitely beefy and easy to use. Did an alignment and it’s been working great on multiple trips to Rausch Creek Off-road park! The tie rod has held up to some big rocks hitting it . It springs right back to straight every time. The paint didn’t hold up but that’s to be expected. Thanks to Steer Smarts for making another awesome product.

AnswerQ: Yeti aluminum tie rod adjuster Doug’ Bull Dozer 3 years ago
Is the aluminum one interchangeable with the steel one. I have the steer smarts yeti tie rod and I bent it on a stump. Was wondering if they are the same size? Thanks for any help!

AnswerQ: Rock hard patriot sliders with step Doug’ Bull Dozer 3 years ago
I have a Rock Krawler long arm kit on my JKUR and my question is will these work with the long arm kit? The front 2 body mounts are good but the back ones are cut to allow the control arms to travel up and down. The picture doesn’t show how it’s attached. Thanks in advance
