The bumper it fits into is flimsy and when you open the tailgate, it actually flexes the whole bumper. It also continues to get so loose, the tire carrier feels like it’s going to break right off. I have tried adjusting, fixing and doing whatever I can to make it work. In my last two Jeep off roading trips, I had to take the tire off and put in the the Jeep. It was that bad. I have sent in request to Body Armor to see if they have any suggestions but they have not responded. Save yourself money and get a different one. I wish I would have.
