    This thing is pure beef

This thing is beyond heavy duty. Without a doubt, something else is gonna break before this does. That’s what we all want! Installation note… have some washers on hand to customize your bolt length. The bolts do not go all the way through the steering box, so you need to make sure you get full thread engagement but since they bottom out, you may need washers to compensate for any trackbar reinforcement brackets you use. You absolutely need the dedicated longer bolt kit if you have a track bar reenforcement bracket. Make sure you have a 46mm socket and a torque wrench for 240ft/lbs!

Pay close attention to what stock means

I purchased this without researching enough. Not having a photo certainly didn’t help… this is for completely stock axles and tie rods. Meaning it bolts how the stock stabilizer did. It is not a clamp. It is not JUST a u-bolt. Now that my mistake is out of the way, I’m reviewing because of the welds on the tabs. They are HORRIBLE. Maybe they would hold but I’d trust some kid with a harbor freight flux core special over the welds on the tabs I received. I couldn’t use anyway due to my own lack of research but sheesh, the tab welds weee so bad I came here to leave a review just on them…
    PSC Bolt-On Cylinder Assist Kit

Issue free install, but not pain free.

Bolted into my 3.6 JT without issue. Was able to bleed air out pretty easily. Removal of the stock engine mount was without a doubt the most challenging part of the entire installation. Make sure you have all sorts of extensions, sockets, and wrenches on hand. The northridge overview video was good enough for this part to give you the general idea.
PSC Steering Pump and Reservoir Kit

Bolted right up to my JT rubicon on a 4.5” lift

As the title says, bolted right in. I already had a carrier drop so I just re-used that. I thought this was also supposed to come with one? My driveshaft got toasted on some rocks. Within a week this one was bouncing off rocks and is holding up a lot better than stock. Only time will tell but it seems to be much beefier as advertised.

    Flimsy for off road use

If you don’t take your vehicle off highway, this is a great case. Swings as designed and more or less “secure”. Now off-road… the moment you start banging on some obstacles, the lid isn’t going to hold. Add in a little bit of hopping and the latch won’t hold either. You will wind up with a swinging, open case. I’ve converted this to a static case, added a strap to keep it shut, and JB-welded what was cracked and damaged from the first off road trip. For an F-150 grocery getter? Great product. For an overland/rock crawler? This is not the product for you.

  • AnswerQ: Collapsed and extended length?  2wheeltinker 1 year ago

What are the collapsed and extended dimensions if this?

  • AnswerQ: Painting process?  2wheeltinker 3 years ago

What are some recommendations for both primer and paint for these? I imagine it's sand, prime, paint. Just standard rust oleum primer and paint?
