Need another skid kit to install update
Lance 1 month ago
update to my review. You could probably do a few modifications to fit this without the transfer case skid plate REA1022. This would not cover the section of the tank alongside the transfer case area. That makes this a good deal for me. I'm updating my ratings

Rubicon Express Gas Tank Skid Plate
Basic Needs Satisfied

All I needed was to change tire diameter and disconnect the sway bar in 2WD for the potholes on the logging roads. My JT Rubicon is mostly a logging road and basecamp rig for my mountain biking and camping. I had to go through the tire diameter setup a couple 2 or 3 times to convince myself I had it set correctly. Also, you have to be at a full stop to use the sway disconnect but the ride over portholes is way better disconnected. Sometimes sway disconnect will stay enabled after stopping and starting the engine. Sometimes not. Sway bar autoconnect happens around 30 mph now instead of 20 or 25. The setup cycle every change is a bit of a pain but really not bad. And it's not needed for the live functions that work when it's plugged in. Winch idle speed will be a nice feature if I get into a winch situation. I have to roll my eyes at some of the bling features like light show. :-) but whatever rolls your road.

Nice combo setup.

Easy install with the Aux wiring option on my Jeep. It comes with a decent wiring harness with solonoid and switch, good water tight connections also. I assumed that being a combo set that there would be a way to turn on either the fog or driving lights. Not so, both run off the same wiring and 1 switch. No big deal. I haven't done much night driving where I can use these yet. The fog beam has a good spread but the driving beams will take some aiming next time I get out in the woods at night.

Comfort mat not a bed protector
Lance 2 years ago
Not really what I was looking for. I was hoping for some this more robust. This mat with its contured bottom side fits well and is easy on my knees when I'm working in the bed of the truck. The tail gate pad will need trimming to fit below my retractable cover, which I expected, and its connection to the bed part is not as robust as I expected. It comes with a set of fancy velco like strips to anchor it down in the bed. If you have the spray in bedliner you have to wait for a dry warm day and clean and rough up the bed where the strips go. I don't think the ones for the tailgate pad will be much help. I'll work on a more mechanical anchor solution this spring. If it ever dries out and warms up here in the PNW coast. For now I just have the tailgate pad folded under the bed mat. And it is not nonslip for anything I have put in the bed so far. I think that anything heavy enough to grip the mat would damage it. This would work great for people that are in and out of the bed a lot or as a base pad for sleeping.

Nice change trom almost silent stock setup

I picked this setup after finding some youtube videos of comparisions. Simple kit and easy to install. Clear instructions on a Rubicon. Removing the old exhaust was easy after jacking up the rear so that the rear axle sagged. I like the new exhaust note. It's just loud enough for me to hear and modulate the throttle better. It may have to much drone for people that spend a lot of time on the highway running over 2250 rpm. I don't notice any real power gain, I needed an exhaust note I could hear. Too many sports cars in my past I guess :-) I only give out 5 stars for truly outstanding items. I would buy this again.
