Joints have limited life
Rob 2 months ago
Purchased as part of suspension upgrade for my JL 392. Pros: Good quality thick arms Fronts are curved for tire clearance Have brake line bracket attachment stud Good flex and good ride Cons: Durability - after 16,000 miles on 37" tires 6/8 joints are worn out - maybe that is typical, but I would expect closer to 30K miles. Joints do not return to center alignment Overall good arms but the joints just do not last...I replaced the joints with MetalCloak brand (they sell the internals that fit) and will report back how they compare.
RockJock Adjustable Control Arms
Do NOT recommend

Purchased as part of suspension upgrades for my JL. Bar itself is fantastic and probably one of the least intrusive providing good amounts of clearance. I completed the suspension install and within approximately 4,000 miles noticed beginning of DW. Took bar off and both ends needed replaced, sent the video to RJ and they sent out replacement joints under warranty. This took a couple of weeks and the shop I was at recommend a different track bar (steer smarts Pro) for folks that go off road, so I had that bar installed. I moved the RJ bar to my gladiator when I lifted it and the brand-new joints only made it 9,000 miles and are completely shot and out of warranty. I cannot recommend this trac bar.
RockJock Johnny Joint Adjustable Front Trac Bar
Added durability but pricey and heavy

The additional “armor” for the step sliders is fairly easy to install I had a few of the holes not quite line up but with a little work I was able to get all of the rivets installed. These add piece of mind and should increase the survivability of the RSE steps when used as a slider…I do not know how much durability these add nor if there is a way to measure.
Rock Slide Engineering Gen 3 Step Slider Skid Plates - Pair
Easy entry / exit and moderate protection
Rob 2 years ago
Lifted Jeeps are not easy to get in and out of and traditional steps are easily damaged off-road. Insert the RSE Step Sliders…the step is fantastic making entry and exit very easy for front seat passengers…the nature of the way the step swings out it is a much smaller step usability for back seat passengers, still works but you have to pay a little more attention. Adding the additional armor these weigh quite a lot but I have set my Jeep on several rocks and these have not been damaged other then paint. These will never be as durable as a dedicated slider…but if you have the need for a great step with some moderate slider capability this is the one to go with.

Rock-Slide Engineering Gen 3 Passenger Side Step Slider
Great option for additional fuel

Easy to install and review as needed, well though out product. Thread the strap through the metal plates and set on your spare…route strap around the center of your spare and begin to tighten…you have to tighten quite a bit to remove all wiggle from full gas cans. I have Velcro cable tie straps for other items and used to roll up and secure the extra strap material vs cutting as the instructions detail. I plan to go to larger tires in the future and prefer the additional strap length. I wish RSE would include an tie to secure the strap but easy fix… I have a larger antenna mounted off the tire carrier and had to position my cans a little differently but the RSE mounts allows flexibility.
