Way more useful than I expected!
Rocky Mtn Gladiator 16 days ago
Got these as a gift, don't think I would have purchased them for myself but they have proven to be way more useful than I ever expected. Yes, these are basically really expensive courtesy lights & side mounted turn signals but, as with all Oracle products, they are BRIGHT and once I figured out when to use them... As turn signals these are fantastic. Perfect location and really bight so they light up anyone sitting in the blind spot of my Gladiator. They are just "okay" as courtesy lights. They are great for lighting up the area around the truck UNTIL you open the door, which blocks the light and casts a big shadow making it a little harder to get out of the truck on uneven ground. But these things really shine (pun intended) when connected to rock lights. I used a Hopkins 48955 Towing Taillight Converter/Isolator and connected the white light to my rock lights so it still turns on as a courtesy light but also when I power on my rock lights. Combined, these things are absolutely amazing! Not the best picture but hopefully you get an idea for how much light these emmitt Fairly easy to install, just follow the Northridge 4x4 view. I had to redo the tape on my drives side light as it didnt stick properly. I would hight recommend taping them down for the first 24 hours to ensure the 3M tape fully adheres.

VR Evo10 Pulls its weight when you need it

A reliable winch should be the foundation of your recover gear. Warn is known for being the best for a reason. I have only had to use my Warn VR EVO10 winch twice since installing it a year ago. Considering an offroad recovery in our area would cost at minimum $500, this has saved me more than it cost. Install depend on your vehicle, but warn provides everything you need to get this plugged in and operational. Some things to consider/remember: You need some kind of circuit breaker inline between the battery and winch to prevent battery drain or possible shorts. I went with the WARN Power Interrupt Kit (62132) and its been flawless. You can switch over to synthetic cable but you need a new fairlead and to really inspect the drum. I switched over as soon as I got it, never pulled with the steel cable. You may want to toss a cover on it to protect it. These things will hold up for years but the extra $ for a cover is worth it considering that you are usually in a sticky situation when you need this thing My only complaint about this is Warn did NOT honour the rebate. I got all my paperwork in, followed up multiple times but they stiffed me which was a shame.

I’ve had this steering stabilizer on my Gladiator for just about a year now. I had some doubts about needing the adjustability but I’ve used it a whole lot more than I expected. I normally run on the middle setting “2”, it’s perfect for around town on normal days. On the trail or In the summer when it’s really hot out and my tires are a little stickier, I set it to 1 and you can really feel the difference. If I know I’m hopping on the highway for a long drive I switch to 3 and it makes a huge difference. Keeps my steering nice and tight. Really easy install, took less than an hour. And after a year of hard Canadian snow & weather the finish still looks great. Made really well so it’s held up as expected.

I like them, but time will tell...

Kit comes with the 3 lights, a wiring harness, t-taps and zip ties, everything you need is included in the box which is great. Install is pretty simple, I followed the steps in the Oracle & Northridge videos. Do the NorthRidge grill hack & cut off 4 of the grill clips when you remove your grill because chances are you are going to be taking your grill off pretty frequently once you have these installed. Couple of issues: 1. My wiring harness fell apart during install. I connected everything to test about 1/2 through, then disconnected the harness to route the wire and noticed one of the wires on the harness had detached from the connector. Wasn't a big deal, easy enough to pull the pin, open it up and solder back together but it makes me wonder how well this harness will hold up over time. TIP 1: Make sure you put some electrical tape on every connection. 2. One of the lights was either not sealed properly or damaged during shipping. I washed my truck after installing and one of the lights filled with moisture. I've put in a warranty claim with Oracle last night and already heard back from them. They have great customer service so I'm not that concerned. TIP 2: One of the guys on the forums put a little silicone sealant on the back of every light before installing them. He said it helped seal any possible cracks / leaks and acts as a little buffer to protect your grill. Ill do that when I swap them out. 3. Look closely at the lights while installing them, there is a top and bottom to the light but it is not labeled. Its easy to install one upside down if you are not careful. TIP 3: Make sure you have extra zip ties (more of a life rule than a tip) . 4. Wiring options: the Side marker lights that they tell you to connect to are not always on which means, these do not always stay illuminated. In the Forums, some people connect to a switch panel, some connect to an ignition source so they are always on, some connect to the DTRL circuit. I think I'll switch over to DTRL at some point or build a custom wiring harness to make them blink with my turn signals... Either way, make sure you understand the different options and how to wire them the way you want them.

Budget friendly upgrade over stock

Ordered these for my Gladiator after bottoming out a few times on the trail and nearly knocking out some teeth.. If you are looking for a good upgrade over stock and don't need to step up to air bump stops these have been a huge improvement stock. Bang for buck, these are one of the best ways to improve your overall ride. Wish I had ordered them sooner. Rears take about 30 seconds to install, fronts are a little trickier..
