Best Way To Correct The Geometry On A Lifted JL
Agustin 4 months ago
Was having a little slight vibration in the steering wheel while hitting imperfections in the road with 37-inch tires and a 2-inch spacer lift. Finally decided to upgrade to the EVO Geometry Correction brackets and they definitely made it drive a lot better. No more vibration in the wheel and stopping performance improved as the suspension isn’t fighting itself under braking. The small undulations in the road aren’t as noticeable as they once were. Took a little effort to install them and had to do a very tiny bit of grinding on one of the welds that made contact with the frame on my Jeep but it wasn’t a big deal. If you’re doing this you’ll likely not have to do anything on yours as this just happened to be a larger than average weld bead on a corner where it touches the frame. Could have made it work without grinding but I didn’t want to force the control arms into place.the brackets are heavy duty and I’ve got more than a few off road trips on these now and no issues with them. Previously without these the suspension would fight itself on obstacles and not articulate into the bump travel as easy as it did when it was stock. This made it work like it was originally intended as the control arms lay flatter and can absorb bumps rather than push against the obstacle before swinging upward into the wheelwells.
