We were asked to build a killer JKUR for the Premier Performance SEMA booth, we wanted to build a JK that would look great at any show and one that people would actually want to wheel. There were a ton of Jeeps at the show, this one stood out as one that looked good and was highly functional.
By far, this is one of our favorite JK builds we have ever done.
Poison Spyder Bumper and WARN winch time:
The most iconic view of any jeep is the front and we wanted this JKUR to look good, so we outfitted it with:
Poison Spyder – Brawler Lite Front Bumper With Brawler Bar
WARN – VR EVO 10s Winch w/ Synthethic RopeBig Axle BEEF time:
To handle the 40s we installed a super stout Dynatrac ProRock 60/80 Axle Set EVO Double Throw Down Suspension:
EVO – Front Double ThrowDown System
RockJock – AntiR...
A great Start to any JK build:
This 2014 JK came through our Silverdale shop for a build a few years back. We built it using quite a few parts from AEV – American Expedition Vehicles and when you build a Jeep with good quality parts, it’s hard to end up with bad build. The owner was looking to have something they could take out into the wilds for some exploration and a good base to continue to build up over time. Though this build is a few years old, it is still a great example for starting any JK build even in today’s standards.
AEV Premium Front Bumper, PN# 10305055AD on the front of this JK adds excellent protection and is ready to accept a WARN Zeon 10-S winch.
Adding in an AEV Dualsport RS 3.5″ suspension gives this Rubicon enough lift to clear a set of 35×12.50 Nitto Trail Grapplers mounted on Matte Black 17×8.5 Method Double Standard wheels.
To help the rear tire clear the bumper, we added in a Teraflex JK/TJ Spare Tire Extension.
No matter what angle you view it from, this 2014 JKUR looks good.
What other parts would we add to this JK?
For a matching rear bumper, we’d choose the AEV Rear Bumper .You’d get a strong rear bumper that can easily protect the rear end of your JK from whatever the trail throws at it!...
What started off as a bone stock 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, Bruce Banner has been upgraded far past its stock days with products from AEV, Rigid, and Method Race wheels just to name a few. We wanted our shop Jeep to showcase some of our best manufacturers and vendors while showing off some of our handy work.
