The reason for that is even though the Air Locker is extremely capable, sometimes after hard trail runs they can fail so it's good to have extras. I bought this to to solve an issue with diff oil siphoning out through my solenoid and pump breather housing. A whole lotta work but it fixed the problem. Make sure to take pictures of your shim arrangement on both sides before pulling it out, you’ll thank me later. This is much easier done on a lift than in the driveway- try to find a self-service garage that rents out lift time, it made it significantly easier than doing in my driveway.

A: This will work for the RD100, which is what I'm guessing that you have in your Dana 30.
