Kish's Garage
I absolutely love these. I have been struggling with death wobble on my gladiator for months now and Finally after swapping everything on the front end (even the steering box) I installed these and what a difference they make! Long term time will tell but so far I love them! Now the bad: The installation sucked. American Iron really needs better instructions. There should be more pictures and personally I think even adding a figure that shows the stack up of: nut, knuckle, spacer, bearing(pressed in inner-c), o-ring, delrin, washer, low-profile nylock. Would have made the whole process much less confusing. Besides that the process of pressing these in is tedious at best. To do it right you NEED an angled cup or adapter of some kind with your ball joint press. This is to keep the lower cups straight when pressing in due to the angle of the Jeep axel inner-c. Even with the Icon balljoint press that has one of these angled pieces, I still needed to use a 1/16in aluminum shim to make it line up right. (See Picture) You could make your own custom adapter cup if you have the time and ability but I think that is unreasonable to ask of customers. American Iron please include, or at least make available for us to buy, an installation adapter to deal with this angle. It would take the install from terrible to no harder than ball joints. Overall very happy with them even with the install difficulties.

My second set after an axle swap. performed flawless from 80mph freeway runs to level 7-9 trails then back home. Love the ability to dial in the steering resistance and confidence to no longer have ball joint failures.
