  • Q: MOPAR J8 MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER  Josh1 year ago

Is there an alternative part that will work for a JK with a manual transmission?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You can still use this with a manual transmission, you'll just need to source a reservoir for the clutch, such as a Wilwood one..

  • Q: Compatibility with 2014 JKU  jespersen703 years ago

I have a 2014 JKU and I installed a Teraflex front big brake kit, I would like to install the Mopar J8 master cylinder and brake booster but it says it’s not compatible with 2014 only 2015 to 2018. Why is this kit not compatible with 2014? What is different and can I make it work? Thank you
  • Q: J8 booster / master cylinder with synergy bracket  Collin3 years ago

Will this work with the synergy compressor bracket and single (small) ARB compressor
    • 2 of 2 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This will not work with the Synergy compressor bracket. You have to relocate that in order to use the bigger brake booster system.

  • Q: J8 MC +Booster with powerstop?  prestonseaver3 years ago

Will this kit work with the powerstop factory replacement sized calipers, or will the pedal not feel right since the calipers are not as big as the BBK?
  • Q: Order separately?  Derek 3 years ago

I am thinking about upgrading my master cylinder to the Teraflex option, so I wanted to know if the other two parts offered in this bundle can be ordered separately?
  • Q: Manual transmission   O.H.4 years ago

Is it possible to be install on a manual transmission by just keeping the original brake fluid reservoir?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The new master cylinder in this kit doesn't have a port for the clutch line. You have to run a different clutch fluid reservoir. The Wilwood 26011098 has been used by others with success(we don't carry it, however).

  • Q: J* Booster  Scott4 years ago

I read on here that there my not be a plugin for the elec on the J8 booster? I have a 2015 and wondering if that will be an issue? If so what can I do to rectify any dash lights/error codes
    • 2 of 2 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It's for the check valve. You should pull the one out of your stock booster and place it in to the new booster.

  • Q: Check valve  KingKrawler4 years ago

The check valve on this booster is different than the one on my 2012 JKU. It does not have the electrical plugin on it that the stock one has. So should the electrical plugin just be left unplugged after installing the new booster or should the check valve from the old stock booster be swapped over to the new J8 booster and then the electrical plug connected?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You should swap the check valve from the original booster to the new and discard the one that comes with the kit.

  • Q: Soft Brake Pedal  Jcurrent5 years ago

I have this booster/master with crown big brake kit up front, and tereflex big roter kit in rear I ordered from you. Everything is installed, ABS was bled, and the system was bled 3 times. I still have a soft pedal and it takes up a lot prior to brakes engaging. Does the booster on the JK8 have an adjustable push rod?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The booster does not have an adjustable push rod. We haven't had any soft pedal issues after installing these master/booster kits. Only thing that comes to mind, that you didn't mention, is that the master needs to be bench bled before install.

A:  I am having the same issue. I'm on my second kit and same problem. No amount regular + ABS bleeding has been able to solve it. Both my boosters had an adjustable pushrod but seemed to be set at the right length out of the box. My setup is using brand new 14blt callipers in the back and brand new SD60 callipers up front.
