If you were like me, you were looking for a unicorn for your Gladiator - a tonneau cover and bed rack combination that WORKED. I found a great combination with the BAK Revolver X4S Tonneau from Northridge, and the XTR1 Bed Rack from Xtrusion Overland. The trick is to order the "Wide Wing Bedrail Brackets," which are specifically designed to enable the use of roll-up tonneau covers. Aside from making a rack and tonneau cover working together, of course you want the tonneau cover to work well. And the X4S is awesome. It keeps things relatively dry in the bed, and provides enough security to make me feel safe leaving valuables in the bed at any time. The black color fits well with the rest of the black plastic parts of the Gladiator, and the cover is strong enough to hold some items (I just bungee corded my Freedom Tops there for a long road-trip just last weekend). I'd buy the X4S again, and would recommend it to my friends. It was easy to install and has held up well (after having it installed for 5 months). It's a great alternative for those of you looking for a secure, "hard-top," roll-up tonneau, and it's a excellent alternative for use with the XTR1 Bed Rack from Xtrusion Overland.
