Been debating on the 500 or this and I’m glad I chose the right one. Hooked mine up after receiving it and got a true 48.9 watt reading by far the best power of any reading I’ve received vs my other brands! Using the midland ghost antenna, diamond bracket with the unit planning on the 6b soon .

Ordered this radio for overland trips, installed in 2020 Jeep wrangler rubicon. Straight forward install to factory aux switch. Great reception! communicates well with my midland hand held radios. Highly recommend
