Q: Install Azrel91 year ago
Hello, If I am adding this to my Dana 44 on a x model how does the wiring for the e locker leave the differential? Do you have to drill? Is there any supporting items I need to install this or any other parts I need to replace in my diff? Thank you. -

A: Yes, you will have to drill a hole for the wiring to come through. All parts needed are there.

A: They should come packaged with packing paper to fill the extra room in the box so the locker can't move all around.

A: This is the correct locker for you. Any brand (Yukon, Ten Factory, Revolution, etc) of the 5.13 gears will work with this locker. Here's an example of the part number for the gears; YUKYGD44JK-513RUB

Q: 3.73 and down jeepmountain4 years ago
this may be dumb question but when you say 3.73 and down do you mean lower gears like 4.10,4.56 and 4.88? I have 3.73s now and want to jump to 4.56 so wanting to make sure I'm understanding the "down" part propperly. Thanks -

A: It technically means lower numerically(3.55, 3.21), but, the JK's use a thick cut gear set in the rear Dana 44 so all gear ratios use the 3.73 and down carrier(3.21 all the way through 5.38)

Q: Fitment for gears higher than 3.73 Phillip4 years ago
This says that it's for gear sets 3.73 and down. What is the comparable locker for 4.88? -

A: This is the correct locker for a JK Wrangler using 4.88 gears. The JK Dana 44's use a thick cut gear set so all ratio's would use the 3.73 and down carrier.(this is for the rear Dana 44, non-Rubicon)

Q: Jk Rubicon eaton elocker. Brandon4 years ago
Have a jk rubicon 44 front housing i need an elocker for. Looking to do 4.56 thick gears so looking for a 3.73 down locker.. Found one but says not for rubicon housings.... Is that only because the rear of the rubi has 32 spline... meaning this one would actually work good on the 30 spl front 44? Also what bearings would be needed for that locker? -

A: This will not work in the Rubicon housing. The only elocker option for the Rubicon front axle is the Dana factory locker, found here. https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/lockers/2007503-dana-spicer-44-e-locker-front-differential-locker
