do these have to have the Antenna tuned like a cb and if so will a cb's swr meter work or what kind needs to be used with it

A: Yes, if the antenna isn't where it needs to be, you can use a swr meter to tune it. GMRS you need to tune your antenna at 465.00000Mhz if you use repeaters.
