I got one of these for my TJ a while back and it was a vast improvement over the hard plastic armrest cover. The JL is already a little padded, but I threw this on another order and it does the job. The fit was better than expected and it protects the top and gives a little more padding. Not nearly as noticeable as on the TJ, but a nice add-on.
