Slider and factory skid plate took a hit
I've taken a few hits on these going over granite boulders. They do their job but don't expect them to stay powder coated on the bottom very long if you actually use them. I can't imagine grinding on the base step and could see them getting damaged easily without the additional protection. One thing I'm wondering about is the brass bolts that stick out on the undercarriage. I guess time will tell if they get busted to pieces or sheared off, but for now, I'm very happy with them. If I get to the point where I need something beefier I've either turned this into a crawler, or I'm on a trail I should not be on and will need help ASAP. OH, don't rub your finger across the bottom to see how well they performed. That craps sharp...
