LOD Armor Lite Rockslider Skid Plates work as advertised 12 months ago
I like these skid plates. I got these skid plates to protect the aluminum side steps before going to Moab. They worked great for that. I did not take any significant hits but I did come to rest on them once. Not even a scratch. They work as they are supposed to work. That is not to say I like everything about them. I don't love the way they mount. They only come with 4 screws to hold them in place using a special nut (with 2 sides flattened to fit in the bottom slot). It also comes with some optional washers if the spacing between the side step and the slider is too large to get them tight. I had to put them on and take them off and put them on again to get them tight. Or so I thought. The first time I went out wheeling and dropped my front tires off a rock, these sliders got pushed back about 2 inches. That is on me for not getting them tight enough. I added the washers before going to Moab and now they are snug. All in all the issue I have with these is on me. I didn't install them properly the first time. I still don't love the 4 screw attachment but they do work the way they are supposed to work. I'm gonna knock them down on ease of install to account for the 4 screw issue.

An absolute must if you have the Armor Lite Steps 1 year ago
These are worth the expense on the trail. I have hit many rocks with these and they did their job with no damage.
