While it was scary to cut my hood, it was worth it. It took me about 4 hours to install it. It generated endless comentary. Some like it some hate it. I loved it! The fit was great.

Installed the aev snorkel with pre-filter adapter. For the first time doing a snorkel I can say it was very easy. The directions are right on point there is no way to mess it up as long as you follow the directions. From start to finish took me roughly about 2 hours the hardest thing was was cutting a hole into the hood. This snorkel is 100% true cold air. One thing I have noticed after installing my fuel mileage has increased which is good with the rising prices of fuel. And to top it off it looks badass. Took it for a swim the other day and did not see one gray hair in my goatee afterwards LOL I would highly recommend this.

I know, I know, cutting a hole in your nice hood is never something anyone wants to do. However, this AEV kit makes that job VERY easy. Install took about an hour once all the tools are rounded up. The fit and finish is excellent and above and beyond most accessories you will install on your jeep. I was finding bits of water in my air box on water crossings. This has changed the game! Some people say that the snorkel does not work with aftermarket fenders, however it DOES work with my MCE flares!

Very well made and great install template! I read on a forum that someone in St. Petersburg, Russia, was able to get the AEV Snorkel to fit with Rugged Ridge fenders (AEV says it only works with factory fenders) so I thought I'd give it a go - and it worked, with the help of a heat gun and clamps. RTV Grey silicone works excellent to seal the connection with the factory air box.

Lazy Turtle gets a Great MOD
Fast shipping arrived in two days, started install that afternoon finished by noon next day. Have Gobi Stealth rack so used a heat gun on snorkel so i could form fit it to pillar support of the rack. Worked great, also cold air from snorkel has lowed engine temp increased MPG!

AEV is the way to go. Single connection point, and you can see the path of the airflow. You also get a true cold air intake. My fuel economy has improved since installing. Went from 13L/100km to 11L/100km (Highway). Install took about 4 hours in my dads garage. All hardware was included, and some sweet stickers. I used a saws-all to make the hood cut, and an angle grinder to trim the cut/sharp edges. I fully sealed the air box and the mating point with a quality GE silicone.

Don't be fooled by the fake snorkels out there. This snorkel is top quality and easy to install. AEV is THE source for Jeep additions. They are such great quality that even Mopar is buying from them for add-ons.
