Super easy to install and made such a big difference when steering. The steering wheel is so much tighter and I feel like I have so much more control than before.

I wasn't sure how much of a difference this would make, especially considering I already have a Steel Steering box. Boy was I wrong... This made a huge, impactful improvement on my steering. I have a relatively stock JT, stock suspension on 37's and it would need constant steering input to keep it going straight down the highway. With the Steer Smarts Sector shaft brace my truck easily tracks straight on the highway, and has seen a great improvement when driving through cross winds. It drives BETTER than my JT did when it was brand new on stock 33" tires.

The amount of difference this product makes is unbelievable. It definitely beefs up the mounting point for your track bar for more stability. Well worth the money!

I have not received this piece yet (just ordered a few days ago), but have been eyeing it since lifting and adding 35” tires to my JLU. Once I receive it and get it installed, I will either update my review or comment about it in different Jeep groups and forums.

I bought this for my 22 JLUR running the Clayton 3.5" lift. The brace is made extremely stout. 14"steel throughout. I stripped two of the bolts trying to mount the brace and steering box and had to replace them from Ace hardware. I can't say for sure if this was my fault or the hardware. I highly recommend having a second set of hands to position the steering box during install to hopefully avoid the issue. Steering feels super tight after install and I highly recommend installing a sector shaft brace to anyone looking to tighten up the JL steering feel. However, after installing I headed out to Moab and during the trip I was getting a clanking when the suspension compressed. We couldn't figure it out while we were there but after the trip I discovered the driver side coil was making contact with the corner of the brace. I contacted Steer Smarts and got the equivalent of a shrug. They said their lifted test JL made "light" contact at full suspension compression and recommended that I angle grind the corner back to create clearance. Not wanting to deal with uninstalling the brace, I did just that. I ended up taking a solid 1/4" of metal off the corner and hitting it with some rustoleum. I also had to pull the spring and hit it with paint where the contact had rubbed away the powder coat. I'll have to report back if that was enough to stop further contact. If I was going to do it again, I think I would opt for another brand like the Synergy that has a slimer profile in hope of not having this interference. Between this and the bent steering stabilizer bracket that I reviewed previously, I've lost a lot of the enthusiasm I had for Steer Smarts.
