Get Your Jeep Ready For Summer!
Warmer weather is fast approaching which means camping season is almost here. Instead of dreaming about off-roading and overlanding this summer, its time to take action and build your Jeep or 4x4 to go on the adventures you've always wanted to go on! Over the years of camping I've built up my Jeep to suit my needs for off-road camping adventures, below is a list of my personal gear and upgrade recommendations I believe can help make your summer camping trips that much more epic!
Starting off my list is a portable refrigerator, and for good reason. I think this upgrade truly transforms the convenience and quality of all of your camping trips. Making the switch from an ice chest to a portable fridge really was a game changer for those warm weather adventures. Simply not having to deal with melting ice anymore was a big deal, and of course, not dealing with soggy food.
Portable vehicle refrigerators are easy to set up and can be simply plugged into a 12v outlet. However, you can set up a more permanent power system for your fridge. Best of all, they won’t kill your Jeep’s battery thanks to auto-shutoff features. If you've been toying with the idea of ditching your ice chest for a fridge, now is the perfect time to get equipped before summer arrives.
I get it. Roof Top Tents have been talked about to death by this point, but I think that's just a testament to how much they've changed the way we camp. While not a requirement for camping, I think a Roof Top Tent is great because it takes away the aspect of camping that turns a lot of people off to camping: sleeping on the ground.
We all want to experience the great outdoors. However, a lot of us would prefer to have a comfortable and easy to set up shelter to escape to at night. Ditch the tent poles and stakes this summer camping season for a Roof Top Tent.
Warm weather was meant to be enjoyed! If your Jeep or Bronco is equipped with a hardtop, you know how inconvienent it can be to remove the hardtop to enjoy the open air.
Luckily, the Sunrider exists to give you both the security of your hardtop with the fold back aspect of a soft top. Replacing the two front hardtop panels with a soft top panel, a Sunrider gives you the freedom to enjoy the summer weather wherever the adventure takes you!

Whether you're hauling gear like kayaks, storage boxes, or surfboards—or need a secure spot for your rooftop tent—a roof rack is a smart upgrade to prepare your Jeep for summer adventures. A Roof Rack is especially benefical if you're bringing along friends and family in your rig and don't have interior space to fit all of your gear. Best of all, a roof rack allows you to mount an Awning to your rig, giving you plenty of shade from the harsh summer shade, no matter where you find yourself.
Summertime adventures can take a toll on your Jeep's pristine interior—whether you're exploring with your dogs, tackling dusty trails, or spending the day at the beach. Seat Covers are a great upgrade for the summer season, ensuring all your outdoor adventures won't ruin your interior!
This summer, it’s time to ditch that bulky, uncomfortable camping chair. The Front Runner Outfitters Expander Camping Chair fixes everything you dislike about the traditional camp chair. It folds down compact to save valuable cargo space and offers a comfortable, upright seating position for better support while relaxing around the campfire.
Whether you're lake side camping, cruising down the beach or overlanding across the desert, I hope this list has helped to inspire how you can gear up for your summer adventures!
