I had called and asked if this included both the filter housing and element and was told no. One review even says it does not include the actual filter elements. I still went ahead and ordered it and to my surprise it was both the housing and filter element. Going to order again since I keep losing mine.

... That doesn't actually come with a filter. It isn't implied that it does. My filter housing cracked, and the filter escaped. This was an easy fix.
