This is the first accessory I put on my Jeep and like others it lasted about 11 years (more than half of that living in the engine compartment). It finally seized up at the end of a week long trip airing down/up multiple times every day. I was so happy with it I replaced it with another without a thought of choosing a different brand. I took it apart to see what failed and it was the piston rod bearing. Dry as a bone and seized. Replaced the bearing, added some grease and it is running just fine to this day. Now I have two single compressors joined together. Definitely fills up faster. If you want yours to last past a decade just add a dab grease to that bearing every couple of years.

Purchased in 2013, my ARB compressor filled it's last tire. Eleven years of faithful service, it gave up, and seized the piston. If literally cost me $20 a year to fill my tires. Now the price has gone up by about $70 over the last decade, but I can assure you, it did it's job. Good luck.

Swamp Thing
I just replaced my old one which lasted 13 years for my lockers and airing up tires. I could have just rebuilt it, but figured for the price why not just buy a new one. Well worth the money!

I installed the ARB compact compressor on my 2018 Rubicon 2dr. The installation was simple and took a couple of hours. I chose to run the air chuck connector behind the front bumper which makes it easily accessible. The only problem I have had is with the rubber boot that goes on the air chuck port. The rubber is deteriorating and after a few months, it leaves a messy black residue on my hands when trying the connect or disconnect the air hose. It's too bad because I'm proud to show the compressor to friends when we wheel, but the black messy residue really detracts from others wanting to install on their vehicles.
