Q: Detroit Locker ATM08864 years ago
I am having a hard time figuring out which if and Detroit Locker I need for my non rubicon 2017 auto Jeep Wrangler. I’ve read to use 187SL16D but it seems it doesn’t work in a 2017 Auto. Can you please help.

A: The Detroit Locker(or other automatic lockers) don't work correctly in 2012+ JK Wrangler Auto's. The locking and unlocking while driving/turning/etc. causes variations in the wheel speed sensors that the computer doesn't like and will send the vehicle into limp mode. You're best bets for a 2012+ Auto JK are either a selectable locker like the e-locker or ARB air locker or the Eaton Truetrac(limited slip).
