The ARB Air Locker's patented design has proved to be ultra dependable, even in the most strenuous conditions when off-roading on extreme terrains. Its strength lies in its simplicity and minimal moving parts that ensure maximum reliability. All structural components of the snatch block are manufactured from aerospace grades of high alloy steel, and where possible, the number of differential pinion gears is increased to distribute torque loads evenly.
Many recent Air Locker designs also utilize timed gear sets to further improve strength, a design feature that has led to a second US patent on the product.

It’s strength lies within the simplicity of the design, the minimal the moving parts ensures maximum reliability. All structural components are manufactured from aerospace grades of high alloy steel, and where possible, they have increased the number of differential pinion gears to distribute torque loads evenly. Note: This unit is drilled for 7/16 ring gear bolts, may need to be drilled out for 1/2" ring gear bolts

ARB Rear Air Locker M220 32 Spline Features:

This fits the rear axle in Bronco models without a locker. Non-OEM locker applications have the ring gear welded to the factory differential. -You must also replace the ring and pinion to install this locker.

The overall design enhances long-term durability by reducing the number of moving parts while still evenly distributing torque loads.

With the flick of the switch an Air Locker gives instant lock at any moment and its super strong design allows activation at any speed allowing you to tackle the toughest terrain. The advantage of the Air Locker lies in the pneumatically operated locking system inside the differential. When activated, the Air Locker prevents the internal differential gears from rotating and therefore prevents the axle shafts from turning independently of each other. With both wheels tied directly to the rotation of the ring gear, the vehicle maintains maximum possible traction at all times. When unlocked, it operates like a conventional open differential. An Air Locker equipped vehicle can be driven in a slower, safer and more controlled manner, greatly reducing the likelihood of vehicle damage and environmental impact.

This design can instantly lock differentials, and allow you to handle the most challenging terrains. The kit comes complete with an air locker kit, replacement differential, activation switch, solenoid valve, and airline, with bulkhead fittings.
In order to run this part on your vehicle, these additional parts are required:
• CKSA 12 air compressor (extremely compact). Operates up to 2 air lockers. Not intended for oversized tire inflation.
• CKMTA12 air compressor (Still compact, operates up to 2 air lockers when paired with 171503, and will inflate tires and run air tools when paired with a 171302, and will run even faster when paired with 171501 air tank.
