Motobilt 4 Link Suspension Bracket & Skid Kit

Once you move past basic lift kits on a Jeep JLU, the factory suspension layout becomes the limiting factor. The stock control arm geometry, frame mounting points, and underbody layout were never designed for long travel suspension, coilovers, or 1 ton axle swaps. Builders trying to piece together a custom 4 link setup often spend a lot of time fighting link placement, clearance issues, and poor geometry.

The Motobilt 4 link suspension bracket and skid system for Jeep JLU is designed to remove that guesswork and give you a solid foundation to build a real suspension system. This kit provides all the frame side bracketry needed to build a true double triangulated rear 4 link and either a 3 link or 4 link front suspension depending on your steering setup. That flexibility allows you to run mechanical steering with a track bar or step up to full hydro with a triangulated front.

The system replaces the factory crossmember with a heavy duty removable transmission crossmember that also serves as the front lower link mount location. A 1/4 inch thick skid plate ties into that structure and follows the contour of the drivetrain for a smooth belly. In the rear, a new crossmember integrates directly with the frame and supports the rear link brackets while also acting as part of the skid mounting structure.

This setup also addresses underbody protection. The included engine skid spans forward of the oil pan and ties into the crossmember to protect the oil pan, transmission, and exhaust routing. The flat belly design improves clearance and eliminates hang-up points on obstacles.
